For more than 30 years, Michael J. Lyons has delivered cost-effective legal representation to businesses and individuals throughout the Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania area and beyond. His practice concentrates primarily on real estate matters, including all types of residential and commercial business transactions, from preparing and negotiating agreements of sale to follow-through and successful deal closure. Michael has also represented townships in various zoning matters and represents residential and commercial clients in connection with conditional use and variance applications, subdivision and land development applications and attendance at municipal hearings. In addition to providing counsel and advice, Michael also handles litigation and appeals at the county court, Commonwealth Court and Supreme Court levels.

Another large part of Michael’s legal practice involves working with clients and their families to properly plan for the future. He prepares last will and testaments, powers of attorney and living wills and has extensive experience guiding clients through complex matters involving federal estate planning and trusts. Michael also handles estate administration matters, from probate through preparation of state and federal inheritance tax returns. In addition, he represents clients in a broad range of corporate matters, including working with companies to address planning and organization challenges to structuring and negotiating commercial transactions.

Michael is an accomplished attorney recognized for building strong and lasting relationships with his clients. He takes the time to listen and works directly with his clients to develop the best strategies for their particular situation. Michael believes in providing straightforward, pragmatic legal representation, carefully reviewing the merits and economics of each case so that his clients have the information they need to make informed legal decisions.

When he is not practicing law, Michael enjoys playing golf and is an avid college basketball fan.
